Because these cameos will dry out or discolor you should apply baby oil or mineral oil on the cameo with a Q-tip or soft cloth. Allow it to soak overnight and wipe it off in the morning with a lint-free cloth. This should be done at least twice per year. Also, store separately from all other jewelry, either in a separate compartment from other jewelry or in a cloth bag.
14K Gold Filled Jewelry - Cleaning
It is very easy to take care of your gold wire sculpted jewelry due to its durability. Just make a very mild solution of ammonia and water or liquid jewelry cleaner, soak it for a minute or two, then rinse with water and let dry.
Sterling silver, silver filled or copper jewelry - Cleaning
The best way is to use a silver cleaner where you can quickly dip your piece into the cleaner and immediately remove it and rinse under running water. Then clean it with an ionic cleaner or jewelry cleaner. If you do not have either of these, then you can buff your jewelry piece with a polishing cloth made specifically for silver jewelry.
