Wire sculped jewelry is an ancient form of wrapping stones or beads with wire. It is done entirely by hand and does not include glue or solder. The sculpting and wire manipulation is accomplished with the fingers along with pliers, such as flat nose pliers, round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, and flush cutters. Some also call it wire wrapping, which is incorrect, since wire wrapping is when a wire is wrapped around a stone or bead or another wire, not sculpted to include lovely swirls and curls. Many of my designs include both wire sculpture and wire wrapping. You can see the difference in the two pendants shown below.
